Carpet Spot Removal

Carpets will inevitably accumulate spots over time from shoes and spills. If these unsightly spots are removed regularly, it can reduce the need and frequency of carpet cleaning. The normal carpet spot removal products will work well on most spots. Follow directions on the product container. Spray a small amount of solution. Do not soak the carpet. Blotting with a clean, absorbent towel is usually enough to lift the spot. If not, a second application can be done and the remaining spot rubbed with an absorbent cloth. Rinse with a spray of clean water where the spot was to prevent re-soiling at that spot. Then blot to absorb the rinse water. Step on the damp spot, covered with an absorbent towel to remove as much of the liquid as possible.
